Drew Patterson Studios was contracted in 2007 to completely overhaul the exhibits at the Presidio. We were responsible for all aspects of creating the new, permanent exhibits including content development, traffic flow and floor plans, lighting, artifact selection, handling and mounting, case design, graphic design and all other aspects of the interpretive process. The overall project includes permanent outdoor interpretation as well as an interpretive exhibit in Our Lady of Loreto, the adjoined Spanish colonial era church. It also includes the design and fabrication of the components of the visitor entrance and gift store. The exhibit covers the history of Spanish Colonial occupation up through Mexican Independence and then Texas’s fight for Independence from Mexico.
